Student Council Update

by Winston Coady

We’re excited to let you know that our next middle school student council will be starting very soon this year! According to Mr. Trevor, students will vote for candidates in mid-February of 2025 and receive results later in the month, specific dates to be determined.

Four seats will be available for sixth grade council members, three for seventh graders and an additional three for our eighth grade students. Although our current student council hasn’t had any meetings for the past three months due to the introduction of our semester 2 electives, our upcoming council members will be convening twice monthly after the election takes place to discuss matters concerning New School’s management, upcoming events and overall improvement.

Members Alee’ah and Sequoia will remain in council because they were appointed officers last student council election. Cast in your ballots, and read our upcoming edition of NewsCool for more information about our 2025 student council!
